FEEL FREE AND ALIVE
There is a lot more to the art of dancing than perfect technique and rhythm. At Straight Up Dance, we look at dance for what it is: a form of expression. At the heart of every dancer is a creative soul looking to break free. That is exactly what you will see here – expression and creativity in joyful motion.
We offer more than 75 classes each week, along with year-end performances and competitions scheduled throughout the year. With a variety of classes held for all ages, levels, and styles, you’ll find plenty of opportunities for you to be expressive and grow as a dancer.

JAZZ
AGES: 18 MONTHS+
A dance style that focuses on strength, flexibility, and progressions through turns, kicks, and leaps.
TUMBLING
AGES: 2-6
A form of gymnastics performed without props. Dancers will be taught various techniques including: flips, somersaults, tucks, Ariel, etc. These skills are in preparation for future Acro training.
LYRICAL
AGES: 3+
A dance style that incorporates various aspects of Ballet, Jazz, Acrobatics, and Modern Dance.
BALLET
AGES: 3+
The foundation of all forms of dance. In Ballet, we teach precision, technique, and expression through flowing movements.
HIP-HOP
AGES: 7+
A fast-paced, high energy dance form. Highlights freedom of expression and personality.
POWER TAP
AGES: 5+
A high-intensity style of tap dance that integrates modern dance and music with traditional tap.
CONTEMPORARY
AGES: 7+
Expressive dance that combines elements of Modern, Jazz, Lyrical, and Ballet through fluid movements.
ACRO
AGES: 7+
A dance style that combines elements of acrobatics and floor gymnastics with classical dance.
