CHANSEY EAMES – DIRECTOR + INSTRUCTOR

Chansey began teaching dance as a freshman in High School. She was a member of her High School Drill Team for four years and served as Captain both her Junior and Senior year. She also danced with her local studio and was trained in Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Clogging, and Hip-Hop. She represented her school as the Dance Sterling Scholar and attended Snow College in the Dance Major Program on Scholarship. She later attended SLCC in Business Management. Chansey has toured/performed in DisneyLand, Carnival Cruise Lines, and throughout the Mexican Riviera. Chansey is passionate about training  future dancers, and loves that she has the opportunity to serve her community.

Chansey is married to her husband Ryan, and they have three wonderful children, Kobree (girl), Knoxx (boy), and Phynix (girl) that she absolutely adores.  They are truly the lights of her life.  In her spare time she enjoys being with her family, enjoying the beautiful scenery of Utah, and of course dancing.

 

NICOLE BEUS — INSTRUCTOR + COMPETITION DIRECTOR

Nicole has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She has been trained in many different styles including jazz, ballet, hip-hop, tap, lyrical, and ballroom. She began assisting classes as she was training, and is now passionate about teaching. Nicole danced for her High School dance team for 2 years and has been in many different types of companies throughout her life. 

We are excited to announce that Nicole has accepted the role of competition director. She is amazing and cares so much for our students. Nicole is currently attending UVU and is majoring in dance. She is excited to continue to share what she loves. 

ADI JOHN — INSTRUCTOR

Adi began dancing when she was 3 years old. She did competitive dance at her studio for 11 years and trained in all styles of dance including jazz, lyrical, ballet, contemporary and hip-hop. She also was a member of her middle school’s dance company. Adi was on her high school’s drill team for 4 years where she served as a dance captain her senior year. Through her years of dancing she found a passion for dance and is excited to share her love of dance with our students. 

Adi currently is continuing her education at SLCC, majoring in occupational therapy. She loves spending time with her friends and family and cannot wait for this upcoming season.

SAMANTHA MARBERGER  — INSTRUCTOR

Samantha grew up in Northern California.  She was trained in a pre professional ballet company in Sacramento California for most of her childhood and teen life.  Samantha had many solo parts in the Nutcracker, Coppelia, and Swan Lake.  Although she ended her professional career as a ballet dancer, her love for dance is still strong and she has found a new joy of dance by spreading her passion of ballet with other young dancers.  Samantha is excited to start this new season with all new dancers and she can’t wait to watch their confidence and love of dance grow!
 
Samantha is married to the man of her dreams and recently graduated from BYU. 

JAZMYNE SHARP — INSTRUCTOR

Jazmyne has been dancing since she was 5 years old. She grew up loving jazz, contemporary and hip hop. She was on her high school drill team for 4 years and was the Drill Mistress her senior year and an officer her junior year. She is currently attending UVU to earn a degree in Dance Education. She was a regional finalist in world language for sterling scholar. She has always had a passion to increase her knowledge and ability of dance as well as helping others find their love for dance.

HAYLEY DEVOE — INSTRUCTOR

Hayley is a dedicated dancer with many years of training in all styles such as jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and ballet/pointe. She began dancing at a very young age and loved it from the start. Hayley began assistant teaching while pursuing her dance career here at Straight Up Dance Academy. She has been dancing with us from the very beginning and can’t wait to share her passion for dance through teaching and continuing to inspire the next generation of dancers. She has been a member and officer of her dance company throughout middle school and high school, adding to the development of her skills and passion for dance. Hayley has earned numerous first place, judges’ choice awards, and overall awards in various competitions both with her teams and as an individual. Hayley also received the All-American title at nationals and couldn’t have been prouder of her accomplishments. Whether on stage or in the studio, Hayley brings energy, creativity, and her deep love of dance to everything she does. Her journey in dance reflects her hard work, commitment, and passion for the art form.

STACIE KISS-ILLES — OFFICE MANAGER 

Stacie did competition dance and cheer through middle and high school. She has been a behind the scenes SUDA helper since the beginning and can’t imagine life without SUDA! 
Stacie has been doing office work for nearly 20 years now and loves it. Stacie loves being part of our SUDA family and is excited to get back into the office. She loves getting to know the dancers and their parents and is excited for another great season!
 
In her spare time, Stacie loves hanging out with her husband and their two girls. They love making memories together, whether it’s camping and four-wheeling, hiking or having a movie night or dance party at home, being a mom and wife is her favorite thing to do!
